This isn't to say these places are *bad*, but rather, they might not be the best use of your precious time and resources in a country overflowing with amazing alternatives.

The ubiquitous sound and light show at the Giza Pyramids is a common tourist experience, but frankly, it often falls flat. The narrative can be cheesy, the technology outdated, and the sheer volume of tourists can detract from the magical atmosphere. Instead of paying for this, consider visiting the pyramids at sunrise or sunset for a breathtaking, serene experience without the crowds and overpriced spectacle. The golden light illuminating the pyramids is far more impressive than any sound system could ever be.

2. Overpriced Camel Rides near the Pyramids:

Camel rides are a tempting part of the Giza experience, but be warned: the prices are often inflated near the pyramids, and the experience can feel rushed and commercialized. If you're keen on a camel ride, explore alternatives outside the immediate tourist zone. You might find more authentic experiences with local Bedouin communities offering longer rides at fairer prices, often combined with a desert excursion.

3. The Egyptian Museum (Cairo) – Partially:
