COVID-19 Testing for Travel to France115
As of August 1, 2022, all travelers entering France from outside the European Union must present a negative COVID-19 test taken within 48 hours of departure. This requirement applies to all travelers, regardless of their vaccination status. Children under the age of 12 are exempt from this requirement.
There are a number of different types of COVID-19 tests that are accepted for travel to France. These include:
PCR test
Antigen test
Self-test
PCR tests are the most accurate type of COVID-19 test, but they are also the most expensive. Antigen tests are less accurate than PCR tests, but they are also less expensive. Self-tests are the least accurate type of COVID-19 test, but they are also the most convenient.
You can get a COVID-19 test at a variety of locations, including airports, clinics, and pharmacies. If you are getting a test at a clinic or pharmacy, you will need to make an appointment in advance. You can also get a self-test at a pharmacy or online.
When you get your test, you will be asked to provide your name, date of birth, and passport number. You will also be asked to sign a consent form. The test will take a few minutes to complete. After the test is complete, you will be given a certificate with your test results. You will need to present this certificate to the airline when you check in for your flight.
If you test positive for COVID-19, you will not be allowed to travel to France. You will need to quarantine for 10 days and get another test. If you test negative on the second test, you will be able to travel to France.
The COVID-19 pandemic is still ongoing, and the situation is constantly changing. Please check the latest travel advisories before you travel. You can also visit the website of the French government for more information on the COVID-19 testing requirements.
