The Provençal cuisine, with its fresh herbs and sun-ripened tomatoes, was another highlight of the trip.

Nice, with its vibrant Promenade des Anglais and stunning views of the Mediterranean Sea, was a highlight. I explored the old town, with its colourful buildings and narrow streets, and enjoyed the buzzing atmosphere of the Cours Saleya market. Antibes, a charming town with a beautiful old port, was another favourite. The fresh seafood and delicious local wines were incredible.

Finally, no trip to France would be complete without a visit to the Bordeaux wine region. I spent several days exploring the vineyards, learning about the winemaking process, and, of course, indulging in countless wine tastings. The rolling hills, dotted with vineyards and charming chateaux, created a postcard-perfect landscape. The Bordeaux wines, renowned worldwide for their quality and elegance, are a testament to the region's rich viticultural heritage. I learned so much about the meticulous process of winemaking, from the cultivation of the grapes to the bottling of the finished product.
